About Doom

Doom is a first-person shooter video game developed by id Software and published by Bethesda Softworks. According to id Software Executive Producer Marty Stratton, the key principles of Doom;s single-player mode are œbadass demons, big effing guns, and moving really fast. The game allows players to perform movements such as double-jumps and ledge-climbs throughout levels of industrial and corporate fields of a Union Aerospace Corporation (UAC) research facility on Mars and then levels of Hell, as the combat system puts emphasis upon momentum and speed. The approach is known as œpush-forward combat which discourages the players from taking cover behind obstacles or resting to regain health while playing from the œDoom Slayer˜s perspective. Players instead collect health and armor pick-ups by killing enemies. œGlory Kills is a newly introduced melee execution system; when enough damage has been dealt to an enemy, the game will highlight it and allow the player to perform a quick and violent melee takedown as well as reward the player with extra health.

The game features a large arsenal of weapons which can be collected and freely switched by players throughout the game and require no reloading. Recurring weapons of the series also make a return, including the super shotgun and BFG 9000. The BFG has a very small ammunition capacity, but is extremely powerful. Similarly, the chainsaw returns, but has been reintroduced as a special-use weapon that relies upon fuel, but can be used to instantly cut through enemies and provide a greater-than-normal drop of ammunition for the player.

How to Download and Install Doom

  2. Choose a mirror to complete your download. If using a torrent download, you will first need to download uTorrent. Note: when uTorrent launches, you can uncheck any of the languages and optional files (they will be labelled optional) which you don;t need to make the download smaller.

  • After installation copy all files from NoDVDREVOLT folder to your game root
  • Edit REVOLT.ini language string to change the language
  • Run Steam (install it, if you don;t have it yet), login with any account (fake one is better, just in case)
  • Run œRVTLauncher.exe from game root and wait till the game loads the main menu
  • Click on Multiplayer and confirm switching to MP mode
    • In multiplayer menu, select œPrivate Match, then either create a new game or wait for invite from your Steam friends with the same crack
  • For bots support change map settings. Remember, that only initial multiplayer maps (like Chasm) have bots, for other maps they aren;t available. Also bots can play with you only in Deathmatch and Team Deathmatch modes
  • Start match
